Our mission is to be the collective voice of the residents, dedicated to the quality of life issues unique to Downtown Norfolk. Every community functions on a set of norms defined by the past, refined in the present with the hope of shaping a better future. In our downtown community, we are committed to a culture of inclusiveness. Everyone’s voice matters within this community. We value your ideas, opinions, and differences. Together, the future of Downtown Norfolk is bright!

• Right to run for elected office

• Freedom from harassment and discrimination
Responsibilities
• Stay informed of the issues affecting downtown
• Participate in the democratic process
• Respect and obey federal, state, and local laws
• Respect the rights, beliefs, and opinions of others
• Participate in our local community
• Support local businesses
• Support local residents in both individual and collective endeavors
• Respect law enforcement, civil servants, and emergency providers
• Report unsafe conditions to the city
• Report criminal, suspicious, and disruptive behavior
• Render assistance to those in need
• Obey all posted ordinances to include removal of pet waste
• Be kind and respect your community
